Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Alliance - Who Are We?
The Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Alliance (PEIAA) was established in January 1998 as an umbrella organization representing the PEI Cultured Mussel Growers Association, the Island Oyster Growers Group and the PEI Finfish Association. The 130-plus membership of the Alliance is a non-profit association that provides a unified voice on behalf of the PEI Aquaculture Industry.

Our Mandate
The Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Alliance was formed to provide focus for the Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Industry and to enhance industry prosperity through its development as an effective world competitor.

Alliance Objectives
The objectives of the Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Alliance are to:
  • protect the interests of the growers, processors, packers and marketers of aquaculture products in Prince Edward Island;
  • promote a cooperative spirit among all engaged in Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Industry for their mutual benefit;
  • encourage industry driven research and development on aquaculture related issues with an emphasis on improving the economics of aquaculture;
  • gather and disseminate information resulting from research to members of the Alliance;
