The objectives of the Prince Edward Island Aquaculture
Alliance are to:
- protect the interests of the growers, processors,
packers and marketers of aquaculture products
in Prince Edward Island;
- promote a cooperative spirit among all engaged
in Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Industry for
their mutual benefit;
- encourage industry driven research and development
on aquaculture related issues with an emphasis
on improving the economics of aquaculture;
- gather and disseminate information resulting from
research to members of the Alliance;
- hold annual and other meetings for the discussion
of issues relevant to the industry and foster
the exchange of information between members.

Spearheading various initiatives since its formation,
the PEIAA has worked diligently to advance the viewpoints
of PEI's industry with professionalism and determination.
The PEIAA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The current President of the PEIAA is Carl Reynolds.
As the PEIAA has grown over the years, so has its staff.
Currently, there are three staff members consisting of Linda Duncan,
Executive Director; Nancy Geldert Laybolt, Office and Accounts Manager;
and Peter Warris, Research and Development Coordinator.
