Seafood – A Healthy Choice
Congratulations you've chosen seafood and better yet, you've selected it from PEI. Whether it is finfish or shellfish, both are a nutritional alternative to meat and are a recognized group of Canada’s Food Guide. Seafood is high in protein, minerals, vitamin B and is low in fat. Whether purchased fresh, frozen, processed, smoked or canned, seafood can be prepared in a variety of dishes ranging from chowders, casseroles, salads or soups either alone or combined with any number of ingredients. Seafood can be baked, broiled, pan fried, steamed, poached, microwaved and even cooked on the barbecue. Please take a minute and browse through our nutritional facts, cooking and storing methods as well as some of our Recipes. With all of these choices and incredible flavour to boot, we think you agree that seafood is healthy and delicious choice for you and your family.
