The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival is pleased to announce that the Go Deep International Tie One On Mussel Competition will be held again this year. This recent addition to the Festival will be sure to "buoy" you up with great prizes that will knock your "socks" off! The Go Deep International Tie One On Mussel Competition which will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 is open to teams of two and will simulate actual conditions for onlookers. All segments of the event will be held on a mussel boat that will be on display next to the PEI International Shellfish Festival tent in the Peakes Quay parking lot on the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront. All ropes, buoys and socks will be provided by the Go Deep International committee. Off-Island competitors are also encouraged to participate!
