< Back to What's New & Interesting Strategic Oyster Aquaculture Renewal ProgramUpdate: Year 2 of the program now closed for applications Applications for the second year of the Strategic Oyster Aquaculture Renewal (SOAR) Program will be accepted by the PEI Aquaculture Alliance on April 19th 2010. The purpose of this program is to provide an incentive for oyster aquaculture operations to expand production through the adoption of techniques or technologies used to produce cultivated oysters on their leases. The Program will support the expansion of off bottom suspended aquaculture and improvements in quality and productivity of bottom cultured oyster production. Any individual or legally incorporated company involved in oyster aquaculture in Prince Edward Island and holding an oyster lease may apply. Application forms and guidelines for year two of SOAR are now available. To download please open the pdf below.
