Aquaculture Collaborative Research and Development Program (ACRDP)
ACRDP promotes collaborative research activities between the aquaculture industry and DFO, teaming industry representatives with DFO researchers. The key goals of the program are to:
- Improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the Canadian aquaculture industry;
- Increase collaborative research between the department and industry;
- Facilitate the process of technology transfer and knowledge mobilization; and
- Increase scientific capacity of the Canadian aquaculture industry for essential aquaculture research and development.

Food Product Development Assistance
Is available to Prince Edward Island businesses to access professional and technical assistance in creating or improving a new food product or process. This assistance can be used to develop and test new and improved products and processes, and other technical development-related activities.
